# Boost a post on Knowasiak

A boost puts one of your posts in front of a set number of extra readers, for a fixed price, marked "Boosted". You choose a package, and you only pay for the views delivered. Here are the packages, where boosted posts appear and how views are counted.

## In short

Open the menu (⋮) on your post and choose Boost post, then pick a package: 10,000 views in 3 days for $4.99, 35,000 views in 7 days for $14.99 or 100,000 views in 14 days for $39.99. It is paid from your wallet. Boosted posts show to readers across Knowasiak, signed in or not, with a "Boosted" label. A view counts when half the post is on screen for a second, once per person per day, and anything not delivered goes back to your wallet.

When many posts are boosted at once, a package gets more days rather than fewer views.

## Boost a post

1. Open the menu (⋮) on one of your posts and choose **Boost post**. For a reply, choose **Boost comment**.
2. Pick a package. The window shows how many views the post has so far.
3. Press **Promote**. If your wallet balance is short, the button adds the difference first.

The post starts showing straight away. Watch the views come in on the post's insights page.

## Where boosted posts appear

- **Under posts** on post pages, in a promoted slot, for every reader, signed in or not.
- **In members' home feeds.**

Wherever it appears, the post carries a **Boosted** label ("The author paid to show this post to more people"). A boost doesn't change how the post ranks in the normal feed.

## How views are counted

- At least **half the post on screen for a second**.
- **Once per person per day.**
- **Never** bots, and never your own views.

You only pay for views delivered. When the boost ends, anything not delivered goes back to your wallet automatically.

## Which post to boost

- **One that already works**: a post with replies or reposts is one readers find worth their time.
- **One that stands on its own**: readers who don't know you should get the point without opening anything else.
- **One with a picture of your own**, and a clear next step.

## Questions

### Does a boost make my post rank higher in the feed?
No. A boost adds a set number of extra views in promoted slots, marked "Boosted". The post's place in the normal feed is ranked the same way as before; see [how the feed works](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-the-feed-works).

### What if my boost doesn't get all its views?
You only pay for views delivered. When the boost ends, anything not delivered goes back to your wallet automatically.

### Why is my boost taking longer than planned?
When many posts are boosted at once, a package gets more days rather than fewer views, so you still get every view you paid for.

### Who counts as a view?
A reader with at least half the post on screen for a second, once per person per day. Bots and your own views don't count.

### Can I boost a reply?
Yes. Choose Boost comment in the menu on your own reply.

### Where do I see the results?
On the post's insights page, which shows the views coming in.
