The builder takes four steps, and you pay only for the views or clicks the ad gets. Here is each step, what it costs and how it is counted. ## In short Choose Advertise, then Create a new ad. Step 1: where people go (your website, your Knowasiak page or another link). Step 2: a picture, a name and a few words. Step 3: everywhere or only some countries. Step 4: your budget, paying $1.00 per 1,000 views or $0.30 per click, from $10. Every ad is reviewed before it starts and is marked "Sponsored". A view counts when half the ad is on screen for a second; bots and your own views never count. ## Start Choose **Advertise** in the menu, then **Create a new ad**. You need a free account; if you aren't signed in, you'll be asked to join first and then taken straight to the builder. The [Advertise page](https://knowasiak.com/advertise) shows who reads Knowasiak and where. ## Step 1: Where should people go? - **Your website** - **Your Knowasiak page**, good if you don't have a website - **Another link**: a product, a booking page, a sign-up form. Enter the full link, starting with https:// ## Step 2: Make your ad - **Picture**: wide pictures work best (1200 × 628). JPG, PNG or WebP. - **Name on the ad**: your business or product name. - **What you offer**: one or two short sentences on what you offer and why it matters. - **Button**: pick a label, or write your own. A live preview shows the ad as it will look in the feed, marked as sponsored. ## Step 3: Who should see it? Show it **everywhere** for the widest reach, or **only in some countries**: pick the countries you sell to. The builder tells you about how many people a day read pages where the ad can show, from the last 30 days of real traffic. ## Step 4: Set your budget - **Pay for views**: $1.00 per 1,000 views. - **Pay for clicks**: $0.30 per click. Pick an amount (the smallest budget is $10) and the builder estimates the views or clicks it buys. You only pay for what the ad gets, and anything you don't spend stays in your balance. If your balance is short, you add money first and come straight back to the ad. ## Review and going live Every ad is checked before it starts, and ads have to follow the same [content rules](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-we-fight-spam#not-allowed) as posts. It goes live by itself as soon as it is approved. If you edit a running ad, the change is checked again before it shows. ## How views and clicks are counted - **A view**: at least half the ad on screen for a second, counted once per person every 30 minutes. - **A click**: once per person per day. - **Never counted**: bots, and your own views and clicks. Your ads list shows every ad you run, what it has done and what it has spent, with charts for the last 30 days. From there you can pause an ad, reactivate it or edit it. ## Tips for an ad that works - **Use a real photo** of your product, work or team, not a logo on a plain background. - **Say one thing**: what you offer and who it is for, in one sentence. - **Send people to the exact page** for that offer, not your homepage. - **Start with the countries you can serve**, then widen if it works. - **Pay for clicks** when you want visits; **pay for views** when you want to be seen. ## Questions ### How much does an ad cost? You choose: $1.00 per 1,000 views, or $0.30 per click. The smallest budget is $10, and you only pay for what the ad gets; anything you don't spend stays in your balance. ### Who sees my ad? Readers of Knowasiak, signed in or not, everywhere or only in the countries you pick. Ads are marked "Sponsored". Pro members don't see ads. ### How long does review take? Every ad is checked before it starts, and goes live by itself as soon as it is approved. Changes to a running ad are checked again before they show. ### What counts as a view?
