# Discover people on Knowasiak

Discover shows people worth following as faces on a sphere you can turn. Each face is there for a reason you can see, and one click finds more people like them. Here is how it works and how to get the most from it.

## In short

Open [Explore → Discover](https://knowasiak.com/explore/discover). Drag the sphere to turn it and tap a face to see who it is and why they are there, then follow them or press Show similar for a new sphere of people like them. Lines show why each person was picked and who works in the same industry. Search or filter to fill the sphere with exactly the people you need.

## Open Discover

Go to [Explore](https://knowasiak.com/explore) and choose the [Discover](https://knowasiak.com/explore/discover) tab. It is open to everyone, signed in or not. When you are signed in, the sphere is picked for you.

## How to read the sphere

- **Faces** are people and businesses. The ones nearest the front show their name, headline and place.
- **A line to the centre** means there is a reason this person is here; the stronger the reason, the clearer the line. A **dashed** line means people you follow already follow them.
- **Lines between faces** join people in the same industry, and people in one industry sit close together.

Drag to turn the sphere. Tap or click a face to open its panel.

## What a person's panel tells you

- **Why they are here**, in one sentence: same industry as you, how often they post, how many people found their posts useful and where, where they are based, how many people you follow already follow them.
- **A few facts**: posts in the last 30 days and the year they joined.
- **Follow**, and **Show similar**.

Tap their name or photo to open the full profile, where you can message or share them.

## Show similar

Show similar opens a new sphere of people like that person in the centre. Earlier spheres shrink to the side, so you can follow a trail of similar people and click any earlier sphere to go back to it. Show similar is also a private signal: it tunes who Knowasiak suggests to you next, and nobody else sees it.

## Search and filter the sphere

Explore's search box and filters work on Discover too. Search names, bios and posts, then narrow by industry, company size, network, verified accounts or accounts with a website; the sphere fills with the people who match. [Pro](https://knowasiak.com/premium_account) members can also filter by account type, country, near a city and active this week. [Every filter, explained](https://knowasiak.com/help/search-on-knowasiak).

If nobody matches, the sphere dims behind a message: remove a filter, or press Back to return to the sphere you had.

## Tips

- **Start from one good contact**: find someone you already rate, open their panel and press Show similar.
- **Follow a few people from each sphere**: your feed and your next sphere learn from who you follow.
- **Fill in your own headline and business category**, so the sphere can match you with your industry.

## Questions

### Who decides which people are on my sphere?
Knowasiak picks them from what you are into (topics you read and picked, your business category, headline and bio), from people followed by the people you follow, and from members whose posts others found useful. People you already follow, blocked accounts and profiles that aren't listed are left out.

### Do I need an account to use Discover?
No. Anyone can open Discover and turn the sphere. Following someone needs a free account, and signed-in members get a sphere picked for them.

### Does anyone see that I clicked Show similar?
No. Show similar also tells Knowasiak, privately, that you liked that kind of profile, which tunes who you see next. Nobody else sees it.

### Why is the sphere empty after my search?
No one matched every filter. Remove a filter or two, or press Back to return to the sphere you had.

### How do I get onto other people's spheres?
Be a listed profile with a clear headline and business category, and post about your work: the sphere matches people by what they do and what they post. See [how profiles get found](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-profiles-get-found).
