How the feed ranks posts, when profiles show on Google and how spam is kept out are explained in the rest of the [Help Center](https://knowasiak.com/help). ## Getting started ### What is Knowasiak and who is it for? Knowasiak is a free business network built for reach: every profile and post is a permanent public page that Google, AI assistants and people in 200+ countries keep finding. It's for business owners, founders and companies: you get a public page, you post about your work, and people who need what you do can find you, follow you and message you. Open the [sign-up page](https://knowasiak.com/guest?auth=signup&form=1). 2. Sign up with your email and a password, or with **Continue with Google** or **Continue with Facebook**. 3. Choose a readable username. Handles made of random letters or long runs of numbers aren't accepted, because they look like spam. 4. Add a photo and one sentence on what you do, for whom and where. Then write your first post: it puts your profile in search and on Google ([why](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-profiles-get-found)). ### Is Knowasiak free? Yes. Your profile, posts, messages, search, your QR code, business card and email signature are free. [Knowasiak Pro](https://knowasiak.com/premium_account), [boosts](https://knowasiak.com/help/boost-a-post) and [ads](https://knowasiak.com/help/create-an-ad) are paid extras, and none of them is needed to be found. ### How do I set up my profile so people find me? - **Photo:** your face, or your logo for a business. - **Bio:** one plain sentence: what you do, for whom and where. Search and AI assistants quote sentences like that. - **Account type and category:** set your page to a business and pick its category, so it shows under the right industry in Explore. - **Links:** your website and your other accounts, in **Settings, Links**. - **Verification:** [verify your business or work email](https://knowasiak.com/help/verify-your-business) for the checkmark. ### How do I find people to follow? - [Discover](https://knowasiak.com/explore/discover): a sphere of people picked for you; [how it works](https://knowasiak.com/help/discover-people). - [Explore, People and Businesses](https://knowasiak.com/explore/people): search by name, industry and more; [every filter](https://knowasiak.com/help/search-on-knowasiak). - The [people map](https://knowasiak.com/help/people-map): members by city. ## Posting ### What can I post? - **Text**: ideas, answers, announcements. Long posts read like articles, with headings. - **Photos**: up to 10 in a post. - **Video**, **audio**, **documents** (PDFs) and **polls**. - **Links**: shown as the page's picture and a "Read more on" line; [how links work](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-links-work). YouTube videos play in the post. New accounts can publish up to five posts a day in their first 30 days. What isn't allowed: [the content rules](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-we-fight-spam#not-allowed). ### How do hashtags and @mentions work? - **#hashtags** put your post under a topic people can open or search. One or two that name the topic help; a long row of them pushes the post down. - **@mentions** link to someone's profile and tell them about your post. ### How does the feed decide what I see? It's ranked for you. The main signals: - **Your interests:** posts on topics you engage with and picked in Feed preferences come first. - **Who you follow**, and authors you often engage with. - **Engagement:** reposts and replies count more than likes. - **Freshness:** a post's boost from being new fades over about a week. - **Real writing:** posts with something to read or a picture of the author's own rank above bare links and sales pitches. Open the menu (⋮) on the post and choose **Save**. Your saved posts are under **Saved** in your account menu. Only you can see them. ### How do messages work? Open a profile and press **Message**. On a computer, messages open in a panel beside the page; on a phone, on their own screen. Choose who can message you in **Settings, Account privacy**. A message that offers easy money for a job and pushes you to WhatsApp or Telegram is refused when it comes from a new account. Never pay to get a job, and report anyone who asks. ## Account and devices ### Can I use more than one account on the same device? Yes, up to five. Open your account menu and choose **Add another account**; your current account stays signed in. Switch between them from the same menu, without typing a password again. Logging out ends only the account you're using; the others are offered on the sign-in page. ### How do I see where my account is signed in? **Settings, Where you're signed in** lists every browser and app signed in to your account, with its country and when it was last used. Sign out any of them, or all but the one you're using. If you see one you don't recognise, sign it out and change your password. ### How do I turn on two-step login? In **Settings, Two-factor authentication**, choose an authenticator app or a code by email. Save the recovery codes it gives you in case you lose your phone. ### How do I get verified? In **Settings, Verification**, confirm an email at your company's domain, or prove your business owns its website. Both are checked automatically in a minute or two. [The full guide](https://knowasiak.com/help/verify-your-business). ### How do I download my information or delete my account? - **Download:** **Settings, Your information** lets you choose your posts and replies, saved posts, followers and people you follow, and download them. - **Delete:** **Settings, Delete account** asks for your password. Deleting removes your posts, subscriptions and all your data, and can't be undone, so download what you want to keep first. ## GoodWill and leagues ### What is GoodWill and how do I earn it? GoodWill (XP) shows how active you are. You earn it when you post and reply, and when other members reply to, like or repost your posts; following someone adds a little. It sets your league and appears on the [Leaderboard](https://knowasiak.com/leaderboard). GoodWill doesn't change where your posts appear in feeds or search; [here is what does](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-the-feed-works). ### How do leagues work? As your GoodWill grows you move through four leagues, each with three tiers: **Ember** (where everyone starts), **Quartz** (from 1,500 GoodWill), **Sapphire** (from 4,500) and **Vermillion** (from 12,000). Your league shows on your profile and the Leaderboard. ## Safety and privacy ### How do I report a post or an account? Open the menu (⋮) on the post, reply or profile, choose **Report** and pick the reason. Reports are private, and the team reviews every one. You can also mute or block the account from the same menu. In **Settings, Account privacy**: - **Who can follow you**: everyone, or only people you approve. - **Who can message you**. - **Who can see your profile**. - **Show your profile in search engines?** [What it changes](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-profiles-get-found). - **Who can see when you're online**. - **Show me on the map**, city level only; [more](https://knowasiak.com/help/people-map). ### How does Knowasiak handle my data? The [Privacy Policy](https://knowasiak.com/privacy_policy) has the details. In short: Knowasiak collects what it needs to run the service, doesn't sell your personal data, and you can download your information or delete your account at any time. ## Money ### How does the wallet work? Your **Wallet** holds money you add by card and other payment methods, to pay for [ads](https://knowasiak.com/help/create-an-ad) and [boosts](https://knowasiak.com/help/boost-a-post). It shows your balance and every payment. Money in the wallet can be spent on Knowasiak; it can't be withdrawn or sent to other members. ### Can I sell subscriptions to my posts? Yes. In **Settings, Content monetization** you set up subscription tiers with a monthly price, and choose which posts only subscribers see. Subscribers pay from their wallet, and the money goes into yours, where you can spend it on ads and boosts. ### What does Knowasiak Pro include? See the [Pro page](https://knowasiak.com/premium_account) for the plans and everything in them. Among what's included today: post insights (where readers come from and which links they click), no ads, the Pro search filters (country, near a city, active this week), who viewed your profile and premium business card styles. You can cancel in one click, with a full refund within 14 days. ## Troubleshooting ### I can't log in. What do I do? 1. Use [Forgot password?](https://knowasiak.com/guest?auth=forgot_pass) and enter your email. 2. Open the link in the email we send (check your spam folder too) and set a new password. 3. If you signed up with Google or Facebook, use the same button again. Still stuck? [Contact us](#contact) with the email address on your account. ### My feed looks the same every time - Pull down to refresh on a phone, or reload the page on a computer. - Follow a few more people from [Discover](https://knowasiak.com/explore/discover), and add topics in **Feed preferences**. - Check **Languages you read** in Feed preferences: the feed only recommends posts in those languages. ### I'm not getting notifications or emails - Check **Settings, Notifications** and **Settings, Email notifications**. - Knowasiak sends one weekly email with what you missed, rather than an email for every event. Check your spam folder, and add our address to your contacts. ### A post or picture won't load 1. Reload the page without the cache: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac. 2. Try another browser, or check your connection. 3. Still broken?
