Type what you are looking for, pick a tab, and narrow it down with filters. Here is every tab and filter, and how to get better results. ## In short Open [Explore](https://knowasiak.com/explore) or use the search bar at the top of any page. Explore has five tabs: All, Posts, People, Businesses and Discover. Filter posts by purpose, industry, author, date, format and sort; filter people and businesses by industry, company size, network, verified or with a website, and sort. Country, near a city, active this week and account type are Pro filters. Search @username for one account and #topic for a topic. ## Start a search 1. Type in the **search bar** at the top of any page. Suggestions appear as you type. 2. Press **Enter** to open the results in [Explore](https://knowasiak.com/explore). 3. Pick a **tab**, then add **filters**. On a computer they are in the column on the left; on a phone, in the row of chips above the results. Every filter you apply shows as a chip above the results. Remove one by clicking it, and filters carry over when you switch tabs. ## The five tabs | Tab | What it shows | |---|---| | [All](https://knowasiak.com/explore) | Posts, with matching people and businesses beside them | | [Posts](https://knowasiak.com/explore/posts) | Posts and articles only | | [People](https://knowasiak.com/explore/people) | Personal profiles, as a list or on the [map](https://knowasiak.com/help/people-map) | | [Businesses](https://knowasiak.com/explore/business) | Accounts set up as a business, as a list or on the map | | [Discover](https://knowasiak.com/explore/discover) | A sphere of people to follow, picked for you; [how Discover works](https://knowasiak.com/help/discover-people) | ## Filters for posts - **Purpose**: Hiring, Offers & services or Networking, the goal the author gave the post. - **Industry**: any of the 28 business categories. - **From**: anyone, people you follow (when signed in), businesses, or verified accounts. - **Date posted**: past day, week or month. - **Format**: text, image, video, document, poll or audio. Pick more than one. - **Sort**: most relevant or latest. ## Filters for people and businesses - **Industry**: the category a business picked, or words in a bio that name the industry. - **Company size** (Businesses): 1–10, 11–100, 101–1,000 or 1,000+. - **Network** (when signed in): in your network, or not followed yet. - **More**: verified only, or has a website. - **Sort**: most relevant, most followed, recently active or newest. "Most relevant" doesn't show the same famous accounts to everyone: it mixes how well a profile matches with your own network and country, and rotates daily. [More on how profiles are ordered](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-profiles-get-found#people-search). ## Pro filters These are part of [Knowasiak Pro](https://knowasiak.com/premium_account), and are checked on the server, so they only apply for Pro members: - **Country**: people, businesses or posts from one country. - **Near a city**: members within 25, 50, 100 or 250 km of a city, on People, Businesses and Discover. - **Active this week**: only people and businesses who were active in the last seven days. - **Account type** on Discover: people, businesses or both. ## Tips for better results - **Search for what you need, with where**: "commercial cleaning Dubai" beats "cleaning". - **Use @username** to go straight to one account, and **#topic** for posts on one topic. - **Keep it short**: searches can be up to 32 characters, and results that contain every word come first. - **Add an industry** when a word means different things in different trades. - **Switch to Discover** when you don't know a name yet: it shows people like the ones you search for. ## Make your own profile easy to find Search reads your name, username, bio and posts, and the industry you picked. Write one plain sentence on what you do, for whom and where, choose your business category, and post about the services you offer. Your profile is listed in search once something you post gets a like, reply or repost; [how profiles get found](https://knowasiak.com/help/how-profiles-get-found). ## Questions ### Is Explore search free? Yes. Searching, every tab and most filters are free, and you don't need an account to search. Filtering by country, by "near a city", by recent activity and by account type on Discover are Pro filters. ### How do I find one person or company? Type @ and their username, for example @AdityaGaurav, or type their name. People and Businesses search names, usernames and bios. ### How do I see posts about one topic? Search for the hashtag, for example #packaging, or open a topic from any post. On the Posts tab you can then narrow by date, format and purpose. ### Why can't I find someone I know is on Knowasiak? Search only lists profiles that are listed: ones with a post that people engaged with, or that are verified. A profile that isn't listed yet still opens from its link. Use the two or three words that matter most, such as "packaging supplier Sydney". ### Can my AI assistant search Knowasiak? Yes.
