In 2007, a man played violin for 45 minutes in a Washington D.C. subway. 1,097 people passed. Only 7 stopped. He collected $32.17 — and $20 of that came from the one person who recognized him. The musician was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest violinists alive, performing on a $3.5 million Stradivarius. Just two days earlier, he sold out a Boston theater where tickets averaged $100. The event was a Washington Post social experiment proving a brutal truth: context defines value. The same talent, same masterpiece, same performer - but in the wrong environment, excellence becomes background noise. Skill alone isn't enough. Positioning talent matters. Visibility matters. Environment matters. If you feel unseen, it may not be you, may be your stage. Know your worth.
