# Trakiin What to Know Before Sending Oversized or Heavy Parcels

Post by Trakiin Parcels (@trakiin)

Large or heavy parcels may have different shipping requirements from standard packages. Before booking a collection, measure the item's length, width and height, check its packed weight and review the courier's size limits. Some services calculate charges using dimensional weight, while others apply additional conditions for unusually shaped items. Accurate measurements can help prevent unexpected charges or problems at collection. Keep the booking confirmation and tracking reference together so the shipment details are easy to retrieve once the parcel has been accepted. **[Trakiin](https://soundcloud.com/trakiin/trakiin-the-future-of-easy-and?utm_source=knowasiak)** helps users review available tracking updates during transit, providing a useful reference after dispatch. Preparing the package according to the carrier's rules makes shipping more predictable and helps users Locate your parcels after they enter the delivery network.
